As with the TomTom, the Garmin includes up-to-date traffic information and also includes a built-in MP3 player. In addition, it can also act as as an XM Satellite receiver (hence it is costs more).
Of course, to take advantage of the XM satellite features, you will need to have a subscription to XM satellite radio. If you haven''t already subscribed to XM satellite radio and are contemplating it, the Garmin StreetPilot 7200 isn''t a bad choice, especially if you desire portability.
The XM satellite radio receiver allows the you to access over 150 commercial-free radio stations. You can listen to music through your stereo either through the FM radio transmitte r or via an integrated 3.5mm stereo headphone/line-out connection. XM satellite also provides the system with traffic data as well as up-to-the date weather.
The GPS also includes an A/V connection, which allows connecting other portable video devices. The large screen makes it a great alternative to using your current portable devices'' screens.
